Abby, 40, Educator (Connecticut Date Coaching Client)In the end, I met Joe and I’ve never been so happy!
When my divorce was finalized, I decided I was going to take time to focus on myself and my personal growth; and I did just that. I had reached a good place in life and started to feel confident about dating again. However, that’s when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Until that moment, I was convinced that my divorce was the worst thing I would ever face.
The whole experience was life-changing, leaving me with doubts and a lack of self-confidence. My body was different after Chemo and surgery, and I wasn’t sure I could find someone who would love me and accept me, let alone date me after my diagnosis. However, I felt compelled to try. After talking with a few trusted friends, I reached the conclusion that if I was going to do this, getting support would be the best thing for me to do. I began to research and found Julianne.
What stood out for me was Julianne’s honesty. She was very direct and told me that she could never guarantee I would meet someone and explained that’s true for anyone who worked with her. However, she did say, that if I was open to trying, she would coach me, guide me, and be there to process through experiences. Still, she did guarantee that I would grow from the experience and get my confidence back, and she was right.
Ultimately, what convinced me to work with Julianne were two things, the first was knowing that Julianne has worked with other women who were breast cancer survivors, and the second was her accessibility. I never felt as if Julianne was at a distance because she was with me every step of the way providing the coaching I needed to continue. When I had moments of doubt Julianne was able to lean in and listen without judgment coaching me forward.
In the end, I met Joe and I’ve never been so happy.
Julianne, words cannot adequately convey my gratitude and appreciation for your accessibility and coaching.
